So who the f#*k is Jamie Kent? Probably a question most of you have asked yourselves in the last 37 seconds, and rightfully so. With that in mind, here’s the skinny:
I’m a 23-year-old musician, a passionate environmentalist and a curious mischief maker. I love comfortable clothing, high fives, cool hats, good beer, good people, and I am terribly addicted to fantasy baseball. I have been writing music for about six years, and studying voice for about the same. I’ve proudly played in a Mariachi band, performed in an a capella group, and crooned for a sixteen piece big band. I’m pretty sure that I am a better singer than guitarist. I am an only child. I have a legendary patch of hair on my back known as “The Man Patch.” I frequently disclose too much information about myself. 
Neoteny is my debut album and is a true reflection of my personality, song writing, and aspirations. My hope is that the album takes you all on an adventure through the depths of my mind. I try to touch on experiences from my life that I think everyone can relate to and then introduce you to characters that have emerged through my mischievous nature and sometimes strange imagination.
The Collective is how I support myself as an independent musician. Essentially, it’s a community of my most loyal fans who purchase a “Partnership” in The Collective in return for free music, free shows, free merchandise, and a voice in the major decisions I make. Partners have access to a password protected part of my website where I post exclusive music and video, and where they can vote on big questions like “what should the order of my album be?” or “where should I tour?”. Pretty cool, ey?
The Options are an amazingly talented group of musicians who join me for many gigs and really know how to rock. The Options have been known to change on any given night, so I figure, why not introduce them all?
