**NEW EXCLUSIVE MUSIC!! 1.07.2011**

So at the end of last year you voted on what 5 songs we should “re-imagine” acoustically for our new EP. You spoke, and we listened. Here are the top 5 based on your votes:
1. Ama San
2. Mama Sing
3. Once Again
4. Snow
5. Isabella
However, we made one small change. Instead of sticking with 5 songs from Neoteny, we decided to drop the 5th song and replace it with a brand new song just for this EP. The tune is called “My Head, Your Arms”, and I’m giving you all the first chance to listen to it and download it before the EP is released in two weeks! By the way, that little downward pointing arrow to the right on the on player below is what you press to download it; took me a minute to figure out! Oh, and Tim Boucher is playing the piano and melodica, and Rhees Williams is holding down the upright bass.

To keep things in that acoustic theme, I thought I’d share with you this pretty awesome video from our last tour. We’re playing this fantastic venue in Decatur GA called Eddie’s Attic, and well, it was just a ton of fun. Check it out…

This past Friday we played one of our best shows yet opening for Barefoot Truth at the Pearl St. Nightclub in Northampton MA. We happened to get a recording of it, so here it is! A bit of a rough mix, but a lot of fun regardless. Also! Can you spot the new song?

So you are well aware by now of the big prank we pull on Starbucks last month, and the other bits of mischief that took places throughout the day. Well let me tell you, there was way too much awesome footage to fit in the music video, so now I have to start sharing it with you. Eventually I’ll make an outtakes video compiling everything, but for now, here’s one of my favorite clips from the day that didn’t make the final cut. As you can see, one minute Darius is dancing with a Ballerina, and the next he is evading the law (or the rent-a-cop):

This past weekend we played one of the best gigs we’ve had yet. Where? The Empire BrewFest. 3,000+ people, 300+ beers, and one great time. The sound guys also surprised us by recording the whole thing for free! So below I present you with “Live at the Empire BrewFest”, our first live recording, and the whole thing is just for you. There’s a sort of strange delay effect on the vocals, which really works at times, and doesn’t really at others, but that was unfortunately out of our control! I hope you enjoy it, and definitely let me know what you think! Much love.

Just last weekend the band and I hit the road and traveled 6 hours north to play our first music festival EVER! Pretty cool, ey? Well, you know how car rides go; eventually, the ukulele just had to come out! That said, from the back seat of my car, I present you with a solo ukulele version of Drop Baby Drop. Let me know what you think!!
